Spicy Mediterranean Inspired Pizza
2 Maison Cousin TM Portuguese Rolls
½ cup tomato marinara
8 slices of fresh mozzarella
12 slices each, hot genoa salami, prosciutto, Coppa di Parma
½ cup green olives
1 tbsp. olive oil
12 oz. of marinated artichokes, drained
4 garlic cloves, sliced
½ cup blue cheese, crumbled
4 large basil leaves, chiffonade
1. Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place each bun half open faced onto parchment paper.
2. In a small fry pan, over medium high heat, add olive oil, artichokes and garlic. Fry artichokes for 5-10 minutes until browned and fragrant.
3. Spread sauce onto each bun. Evenly distribute mozzarella slices, meat slices, olives, artichokes and garlic and blue cheese.
4. Bake for 6 – 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bread is toasted. Top with basil and serve.
